H Apple απαντά στο αίτημα της Samsung να δει τα iPhone 5, iPad 3

Λίγο πολύ θα γνωρίζετε μέχρι τώρα την διαμάχη μεταξύ Apple και Samsung που ξεκίνησε με αγωγή για κλοπή πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας και συνέχισε με αίτημα για πρόσβαση σε ακυκλοφόρητες συσκευές και από τις δύο εταιρείες.

Η Apple με νέο έγγραφο που έρχεται στη δημοσιότητα χαρακτηρίζει το αίτημα της Samsung να δει το iPhone 5 και iPad 3 ως «προσπάθειες για παρενόχληση με κακή πρόθεση». Και σαν να μην έφτανε αυτό αναφέρεται ξεκάθαρα για τη Samsung ως «copyist» (αντιγραφέα).

Το έγγραφο της Apple στάλθηκε ως απάντηση στο αίτημα της Samsung που είχε χρονικό όριο μέχρι τις 13 Ιουνίου 2011. Η Apple θεωρεί ότι δεν υποχρεούται να δείξει σε κανέναν τα προϊόντα της αφού δεν κατηγορείται η ίδια για καμία κλοπή.

Ας μην ξεχνάμε, επίσης, ότι τα περισσότερα ακυκλοφόρητα προϊόντα στα οποία έχει πρόσβαση η Apple από τη Samsung έχουν παρουσιαστεί στο κοινό σε κάποια μορφή ενώ τα προϊόντα της Apple είναι κρυφά μέχρι την επίσημη διάθεσή τους.

iPhone 5: Ξεκινά η παραγωγή του το Σεπτέμβριο;

Οι φήμες σχετικά με το iPhone 5 συγκλίνουν σιγά σιγά στα πραγματικά χαρακτηριστικά της συσκευής. Δεν ξέρουμε αν η Apple παίζει κάποιο παιχνίδι και κρύβει τόσο καλά το νέο iPhone, αλλά σύμφωνα με όσα ξέρουμε μέχρι σήμερα φαίνεται ότι οι αναβαθμίσεις της συσκευής θα αρκεστούν στα εσωτερικά χαρακτηριστικά του, με τον A5 να είναι σίγουρα ο νέος επεξεργαστής και η κάμερα του να φτάνει πλέον τα 8 Megapixel.

Αυτά που ξέρουμε σχεδόν σίγουρα μέχρι σήμερα για το νέο special one της Apple είναι ότι θα χρησιμοποιεί μια μεγαλύτερη οθόνη με διαγώνιο που θα φτάνει κατά πάσα πιθανότητα τις 4 ίντσες και ότι τελικά δεν θα ενσωματώνει αλά Google Nexus S πομπό NFC.

Αυτό που φαίνεται να επιβεβαιώνεται είναι η αναβάθμιση του αισθητήρα της κάμερας του κινητού, ο οποίος θα μπορεί να συλλάβει ως και 8 Megapixel αλλά και η αλλαγή του πομποδέκτη 3G (για να δούμε, θα παρουσιαστεί πάλι θέμα με την κεραία και το σήμα;). Παρά τις εσωτερικές αλλαγές, το design θα παραμείνει το ίδιο, εκτός ίσως από κάποιες διαφοροποιήσεις στα υλικά, ενώ ο επεξεργαστής του θα είναι ο διπυρηνος A5 που γνωρίσαμε μέσα από το iPad 2.

Η παραγωγή του iPhone 5 θα ξεκινήσει το Σεπτέμβριο, κάτι που επιβεβαιώνει την σχετική είδηση για την ανακοίνωση της συσκευής μέσα στο φθινόπωρο και πιθανότατα θα αναβάλει την παρουσίαση του iPod Touch, λόγω της έλλειψης πρώτων υλών που παρατηρείται μετά τα γεγονότα της Ιαπωνίας.

iPad 3 με LTE και τα μυαλά στα κάγκελα

Οι φήμες πριν το σημερινό event στο WWDC 2011 πληθαίνουν και αυτή την φορά αναμασούν το σενάριο για ένα νέο iPad. Η Apple δεν θα ανακοινώσει νέο hardware απόψε αλλά αναμένεται να παρουσιάσει το νέο iCloud, iOS 5 και Mac OS X Lion.

Το νέο hardware υποτίθεται ότι θα εμφανιστεί τον Σεπτέμβριο με το νέο iPhone 5. Εκτός από αυτό η Apple υποτίθεται ότι θα παρουσιάσει λίγο πριν τα Χριστούγεννα το νέο, βελτιωμένο στην οθόνη iPad 3 με ηλεκτρονικά που θα υποστηρίζουν δίκτυα LTE. Καλύτερη οθόνη, μεγαλύτερη ταχύτητα στο download αλλά νέο iPad 3 σε μόλις μερικούς μήνες; Ο Steve Jobs και η παρέα του γνωρίζουν καλύτερα από όλους, ας δούμε όμως τι έχουν να πουν απόψε και πόσο εντυπωσιακό θα είναι το iCloud, οι νέες δυνατότητες για τους developers στο cloud και φυσικά το iOS 5.

iPad 3 rumours: what you need to know

The iPad 2 is out, and the rumour factory’s already moved on: it’s predicting iPad 3 specifications including chips, cameras and retina displays – with a little bit of help from mysterious, unnamed people who can’t possibly be identified.

How very convenient. So what’s the word on the street about the next iPad?

iPad 3 release date

This is the biggest rumour of all: an iPad 3 mere months after the iPad 2. An unnamed Apple employee says that the iPad 2 was a bit of a rush job, and «the third generation iPad is the one to make a song and dance about.»

Respected Apple watcher John Gruber added fuel to that particular fire by strongly hinting that the iPad 3 release date will be in September 2011.

Gruber, who was musing about the HP TouchPad’s potential summer release said: «Summer feels like a long time away.

«If my theory is right, they’re not only going to be months behind the iPad 2, but if they slip until late summer, they might bump up against the release of the iPad 3.»

If Gruber is right about this and the iPad 3 features in an Apple autumn line-up, then it looks like Apple is going to start offering a new iPad every six months.

The iPad 3 UK release date is a mystery

With Apple apparently unable to meet demand for iPad 2, we’d expect a staggered release date for the iPad 3 too: if the US gets the iPad 3 in September, we’d expect the UK iPad 3 release date to be in October, or possibly even November. Apple won’t want to miss the Christmas period, but the US comes first.

The iPad 3 specs include a dual-core processor

It’s possible that the iPad 3 will have a brand spanking new processor, Apple’s A6, but if the rumoured release date is correct then time is awfully tight: we’d certainly expect to see an A5, not an A6, in the iPhone 5 when it turns up this summer.

Apple may well surprise us, of course, but we’d expect to see the same processor and graphics as the iPad 2 in the iPad 3: an A5 processor with PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics. This one comes down to the iPad 3 release date: if it’s 2011, expect an A5. If it’s 2012, expect a faster A6.

iPad 3 display

A retina display was widely predicted for the iPad 2, but of course the current iPad doesn’t have a double-resolution display: for now, that’s something you’ll only get in the iPhone 4. Could a Retina Display be one of the features Apple didn’t quite get into the iPad 2? Could be! It’s the very first thing on our iPad 3 wish list.

Rumours of an HD screen on the iPad 3 gathered pace on 12 April 2011 when Digitimes reported that Apple is asking panel makers to provide screens that are capable of displaying higher image quality than the iPad 2.

On 26 May 2011, we reported that the iPad 3 could launch with a Samsung-made AMOLED screen, following rumours that Apple has been in talks on the matter with Samsung execs.

The iPad 3 hardware could include an NFC chip

Apple’s very interested in Near Field Communications, and one particularly tasty rumour at Cult of Mac suggests that the iPhone 5 will use NFC to take over nearby Macs, enabling you to use your data and settings with a flick of the wrist. Since the iPad 3 will follow the iPhone 5, if NFC’s in one it’ll probably be in the other too.

The iPad 3 specifications will include more storage

The iPad 2 has the familiar 16/32/64GB storage options, but as flash storage comes down in price a 128GB option for the iPad 3 isn’t impossible – although that might depend on the current horrible situation in Asia, where the tsunami has caused chaos in parts of the electronics industry.

The iPad 3 features could include a Thunderbolt port

Two generations of USB-free iPads suggest that Apple just isn’t interested in adding one, but the new Thunderbolt port found in the 2011 MacBook Pro could be another story: it’s a combined accessory/display connector with astonishingly fast performance.

The iPad 3 may live in the cloud

This has been talked about and leaked about for so long that, on the same principle that even a stopped clock is right twice a day, it’s bound to come true eventually: a cloud-based MobileMe for storing your stuff on Apple’s servers. A new iPad with iOS 5 and a new MobileMe would be lots of fun.

The iPad 3 specs might include an SD card slot

This was widely predicted for iPad 2 and, like the retina display, didn’t materialise. One for version 3, perhaps? Using a separate adapter to read camera cards is rather inelegant and clunky.

The iPad 3 specification should include a better camera

The rear-facing camera on the iPad 2 isn’t brilliant: an iPhone 4 camera and flash would do nicely.

The iPad 3 could feature a carbon fibre case

Apple has hired a carbon fibre expert, senior composites engineer Kevin Kenney, fuelling speculation that the next iPad could be encased in the lightweight material.

The iPad 3 price might be higher than the iPad 2

The iPad 2 didn’t herald a price hike, but if the iPad 3′s coming in September we don’t think a massive iPad 2 price cut is very likely – which suggests that if the iPad 3 does appear then, it might be more of an iPad Pro – with a price to match.

Τι μας κάνει να πιστεύουμε ότι τη Δευτέρα θα αποκαλυφτεί το iPhone 5

Την Δευτέρα, όλος ο τεχνολογικός κόσμος περιμένει την ενακτήρια ομιλία του Steve Jobs της Apple, για το Παγκόσμιο συνέδριο των Developers της εταιρείας, καθώς έχει ήδη ανακοινωθεί,ότι θα έχουμε αποκαλύψεις νέων προϊόντων.

Το Mac λειτουργικό X Lion, η cloud υπηρεσία της Apple, δηλαδή το iCloud και φυσικά το λειτουργικό για tablets και smartphones της επόμενης γενιάς, το πολυαναμενόμενο iOS 5.

Αυτά είναι τα γνωστά.Όπως όμως μας έχει συνηθίσει ο Jobs και η Apple, πάντα ένα πέπλο μυστηρίου καλύπτει τέτοια events και συνέδρια,πολλές φήμες ακούγονται δεξιά και αριστερά και δημιουργείται ένας ντόρος γύρω απ΄τις ομιλίες του για το τί ακριβώς θα αποκαλύψει.

Ας δούμε όμως μερικά στοιχεία,τα οποία μας οδηγούν στο συμπέρασμα ότι ίσως μαζί με το iOS 5, αποκαλυφθεί και το iPhone της επόμενης γενιάς,είτε αυτό λέγεται iPhone 5 είτε iPhone 4S:

-Στα συνέδρια WWDC των προηγούμενων ετών (’10,’09,’08) όταν παρουσιάστηκε το νέο (τότε) iOS έγινε και η αποκάλυψη ενός νέου iPhone (πρώτα το 3G,την επόμενη χρονιά το 3GS και πέρυσι το iPhone 4).Άρα δεν θα είναι κάτι που θα συμβεί για πρώτη φορά.

-Όπως είδαμε χθες, η AT&T έχει εξαντλήσει τα αποθέματα της σε iPhone 4 μαύρου χρώματος, κάτι που δεν είναι και ότι πιο σύνηθες για μια τέτοια εταιρεία και το μυαλό μας πάει κατ΄ευθείαν στο οτι κάτι παραπάνω γνωρίζουν οι άνθρωποι της..

-Τρίτος λόγος που θεωρώ ότι θα εμφανιστεί ένα νέο iPhone στην WWDC, είναι οτι απλά πιστεύω ότι ο Jobs φυλάει μια έκπληξη, μια αποκάλυψη εντυπωσιασμού εκτός του προκαθορισμένου προγράμματος με τα Lion, iCloud και iOS 5.

Κοντός ψαλμός αλληλούϊα και μέσα στις επόμενες μέρες θα δούμε αν όντως θα έχουμε την αποκάλυψη του iPhone 5 μαζί με το νέο iOS λειτουργικό, ή απλά ο Steve Jobs θα »δώσει» στον κόσμο μόνο ότι υποσχέθηκε, δηλαδή θα ακολουθήσει το πρόγραμμα της ομιλίας του αυστηρά και όχι το κάτι παραπάνω.

Το iPhone 4S έρχεται τον Σεπτέμβριο;

To ετήσιο συνέδριο WWDC της Apple βρίσκεται προ των πυλών και οι διαρροές σχετικά με νέες φήμες των τελευταίων ημερών, δεν παύουν να κάνουν συνεχώς την εμφάνισή τους στο Διαδίκτυο.
Σύμφωνα με μια ανώνυμη πηγή που επικαλείται το macotakara, υποστηρίζει ότι η Apple είναι έτοιμη να παρουσιάσει το επερχόμενο iPhone 4S που θα διατεθεί επίσημα προς κυκλοφορία κατά τον μήνα Σεπτέμβριο από τα δίκτυα κινητής τηλεφωνίας Sprint και T-Mobile. Η νέα συσκευή της εταιρείας, θα εξοπλίζεται με επεξεργαστή ARM Cortex-A9 και 8 megapixel ψηφιακή κάμερα. Η εν λόγω αρχιτεκτονική της ARM, είναι αυτή που χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως βάση για τον ειδικά σχεδιασμένο επεξεργαστή A5 που ενσωματώνει το iPad 2. Υπάρχουν ισχυρισμοί που αναφέρουν ότι το iPhone 4S ήδη έχει εισέλθει στο στάδιο δοκιμών για την ανάπτυξη νέων παιχνιδιών, τα οποία και απαιτούν την χρήση dual-core επεξεργαστή.

Επίσης, υπάρχει η πληροφορία ότι το νέο iPhone θα είναι μια συσκευή που θα μπορεί να υποστηρίξει δύο τύπους δικτύων, CDMA και GSM. Μια δυνατότητα του τηλεφώνου που αναμένουν οι περισσότεροι χρήστες εδώ και καιρό και έρχεται με την προσθήκη του νέου ειδικού chip που παρέχει την λειτουργία σύνδεσης τόσο σε δίκτυα CDMA όσο και σε GSM/3G. Το καινούργιο στοιχείο που έρχεται να προστεθεί με την σειρά του και να προσελκύσει το ενδιαφέρον όλων, είναι η νέα ενσωματωμένη κάρτα SIM που θα διαθέτει η συσκευή και θα είναι αδύνατο να αντικατασταθεί από τον χρήστη. Επομένως, καταρρίφθηκαν οι φήμες που έκαναν λόγο για την κατασκευή μικρότερων καρτών SIM, προσωρινά τουλάχιστον, αφού υπάρχει πάντα η πιθανότητα να μας εκπλήξει η Apple στο κοντινό μέλλον.

Το νέο χρονοδιάγραμμα της εταιρείας δεν συμβαδίζει πάντως και τόσο με τους ισχυρισμούς και τα λεγόμενα των αναλυτών. Νέες πληροφορίες και δεδομένα, προμηνύουν την εμφάνιση του νέου αναθεωρημένου iPhone 5, κατά την άνοιξη του 2012. Αν τα παραπάνω είναι αλήθεια, τότε θα χρειαστεί να περιμένουμε λίγο παραπάνω για το πολυσυζητημένο μοντέλο.

Η Samsung θέλει να ελέγξει το iPhone 5 και το iPad 3!

Με αφορμή την μήνυση που είχε δεχτεί η Samsung από την Apple, η εταιρία αποφάσισε να ζητήσει από την Apple να της δείξει τα νέα της προϊόντα.

Πριν λίγο καιρό η Apple είχε κάνει μήνυση στη Samsung με την κατηγορία της κλοπής σχεδίων και πατέντων.

Απ’ οτι φαίνεται όμως η δικαστική διαμάχη ανάμεσα στις δύο εταιρίες περνά στον επόμενο γύρο.

Έτσι αφού η Apple ήθελε σύμφωνα με τη μήνυση, να μπορεί να βλέπει τα προϊόντα της Samsung πριν ξεκινήσει η παραγωγή τους, το ίδιο τελικά απαιτεί και η Samsung από την Apple.

Σύμφωνα με το παρακάτω δημοσίευμα, η Samsung απαιτεί από την Apple να της δείξει τα πρωτότυπα των iPhone 5 και iPad 3 καθώς και τις συσκευασίες τους!

Σίγουρα η τροπή αυτή έχει πολύ ενδιαφέρον στην υπόθεση, ιδιαίτερα αν αναλογιστεί κανείς οτι η Samsung είναι από τους μεγαλύτερους προμηθευτές της Apple!

iPhone 5 την Άνοιξη του 2012;

Ενώ φτάνουμε στην ημέρα της WWDC και η Apple μπορεί να έχει για εμάς κάποιες εκπλήξεις σχετικά με το iPhone επόμενης γενιάς. Στην πραγματικότητα υπάρχουν κάποιες φήμες για την κυκλοφορία του iPhone 5 την Άνοιξη του 2012.

To γνωστό MacRumors αναφέρει κάποιες σημειώσεις του γιαπωνέζικου site Macotakara ότι η Apple σκέφτεται να κυκλοφορήσει το iPhone 4S με μόνο μερικές μικρές αλλαγές, όπως κάμερα 8 megapixel και διάφορετικές κεραίες ώστε να υποστηρίζει δίκτυα GSM και CDMA.

Όμως στα iPhone επόμενης γενιάς το πιο σημαντικό θα είναι ο καινούριος πολύ πιθανόν διπύρηνος επεξεργαστής ARM Cortex-A9 CPU (Apple A5).

Επίσης η Apple σύμφωνα με διάφορες φήμες που κυκλοφορούν τελευταία σχεδιάζει να αφαιρέσει το SIM tray έτσι ώστε ο χρήστης να μπορεί μετά να επιλέξει τον φορέα που θέλει. Διάφορες όμως αναφορές τελευταία δείχνουν ότι η Apple έχει εγκαταλείψει το project μετά από διάφορες δοκιμές.

Τέλος το iPhone 5 πλήρως ανανεωμένο με την σειρά του θα κυκλοφορήσει την Άνοιξη του 2012.

iPad 3 to Arrive This September?

Even though Apple hasn’t yet even announced the 2nd generation iPad, we are already hearing the first rumors of the 3rd generation iPad. Those rumors seem to suggest that Apple is planning on accelerating the iPad’s release cycle with the 3rd generation model arriving as early as this fall (September).

The buzz started when Daring Fireball’s John Gruber mentioned that the new HP tablet may run up against the iPad 3′s launch:

If my theory is right, they’re not only going to be months behind the iPad 2, but if they slip until late summer, they might bump up against the release of the iPad 3.
Gruber has been known to casually mention insider knowledge which he admits. In this case, however, he follows up to say that this iPad 3 comment was simply a guess, and not based on any actual knowledge. He gives his reasoning for such a quick turnaround between revisions:

Thus, my gut feeling is that Apple will move the iPad to a September release schedule, alongside the iPods. But they wouldn’t want to wait over a year and a half from the announcement of the original iPad to announce the second one — not with these stakes, and not with so many serious competitors trying their best to catch up.
While that may have been the end of it, TechCrunch claims that they have independently heard that Apple will indeed be revising the iPad this fall:

We’ve now heard that this «fall surprise» is related to this would-be iPad 3. We don’t have any more concrete information beyond that. But, as of right now, the plan is apparently to release one iteration of the iPad in the next few weeks. And then blow the doors open with another new version in the fall.
Apple typically refreshes its product lines in predictable patterns. The new iPhone tends to be announced around WWDC of each year, while the iPod line is refreshed around September. This has been the first year of the iPad, so everyone is expecting them to follow a yearly pattern around April. It seems Apple is following that timeline for the first revision, but may end up changing those rules this fall.

iPad 3 Will Feature a 3D Display

Although it’s only been about two months since Apple released the iPad 2, rumors of the iPad 3 are already surfacing, with the latest report claiming that the next-generation tablet will feature a 3D display.

«The fact that the iPad 3 is 3D is a dead cert,» a «Hollywood insider» reportedly told RCR Wireless.

The source also allegedly said that «the big film studios [are] currently running around like blue arced flies trying to gear up to release plenty of 3D content in time for Apple’s next launch.»

There has also been buzz that the iPad 3 could be released as early as this fall, however notorious Apple rumor monger DigiTimes debunked that myth last month. It said releasing another iPad so soon «would simply bit off share from iPad 2.» DigiTimes reported that Apple is still in the «initial planning stage» with the device. Considering Apple reported a decline in iPad sales in its most recent quarterly earnings call, down to 4.69 million from 7.33 million, there might be truth to that report.

The iPad 3 will allegedly have a brighter, higher-resolution Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode AMOLED display screen, DigiTimes also claimed.

If Apple’s past history of product releases is any indication, a third iPad won’t be released until Spring 2012. Apple generally sticks to an annual product update cycle.

However, the company could break this habit with the iPhone 5. It’s been widely reported that the phone is delayed and won’t appear this June at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) as it has in the past. Some have said the phone won’t be unveiled until this fall at the earliest.
However, Apple product rumors are a dime a dozen, and they should be taken with a heaping dose of skepticism. Apple rarely, if ever, comments on rumors.
